MAAL Rebellion Malbec

MAAL or ‘Malbec As Alfredo Likes’ are a series of incredible Argentinian malbecs from a producer who plays by his own rules. Grown high in the Mendoza region of the Andes, these malbecs are smooth and sophisticated and everything you love about this style of wine. What makes them special however, is the wild and untamed edge. Not content with the fairly mainstream chocolate flavours you get from a classic Argentinian Malbec, Alfredo goes to great lengths to impart complexity in the form of spice, charcoal and dark fruity floral flavours.

Barbecue Hotdog

This recipe is for our delicious but super simple ultimate barbecue hot dog.

It’s the classic BBQ and wine combo. Sweet Brioche bun, with smokey, chargrilled hotdog, melted cheese popping with the freshness of the tomato and the crunch of the lettuce – it’s a taste sensation right there.

Pop the hot dog in one hand and a generous glass of Malbec in the other, the scent of the smokey BBQ and our family chatting in the background – that’s our dream weekend right there.

Ingredients

Frankfurter Sausage

Brioche hot dog bun

2 x slices of processed cheese

Sliced beef tomato

Chopped iceberg lettuce

Your choice of sauce

Method

Get the BBQ (or oven on) then hot pop your hotdog on and heat through, getting that beautiful chargrilled flavour.

Meanwhile slice your bun, layer with the sides with processed cheese. Once the hot dog is cooked put it in the bun, flash on the BBQ to get the cheese to melt, add your tomato, lettuce and a sauce of your choice.
