Chateau Thivin Beaujolais Villages Gamay Noir
A juicy wine with concentrated fruit flavours made from old vines is the perfect atmospheric red for a cosy night in. A hint of violet gives this a deliciously aromatic edge, whilst the light body and plentiful acidity lends itself to food pairing.

Camembert Croque Monsieur
When the nights start drawing in, we can only think about one thing… Camembert.
A key feature of our pub trips from October through to December, this oozy, gooey cheese is luxurious, festive and decadent.
We have brought it to live in a Croque Monsieur twist. using the finest Cotswold ham we can lay our hands on, this recipe is perfect for dark and gloomy weekends in front of a roaring fire.
Ingredients
1 Slice of good quality Cotswold ham
Slices of Camembert, to cover the ham
2 slices of sourdough bread
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
200ml milk
1/2 tsp mustard powder
Method
Butter both sides of each slice of bread. Assemble the sandwich with ham and Brie then grill on both sides until the bread is golden and crisp.
In a saucepan, melt butter over a low heat. Stir in flour until fully disolved and a paste is formed. Add milk slowly whisking to combine. Season with a little mustard powder, salt and pepper. Pour over the top fo the sandwich and enjoy!
