Pepperoni and Spicy Honey Pizza
If we could eat pizza for every meal we would. The recent addition of a pizza oven to our garden has got us one step closer to that dream so it seemed now was the right time to share our first recipe for pizza.
We make our own spicy honey but you can buy it from delis and good supermarkets.
Be sparing with tomato and cheese, with ingredients of this quality, you need to give them space to sing.
Ingredients
Pizza Dough
For 8 pizzas
1kg 00 Flour
2g Dried active yeast
30g Salt
600ml Cold Water
Toppings
Mutti chopped tomatos (with a little salt)
Buffalo Mozarella
Spicy Honey
Pepperoni
Method
Mix all the dough ingredients together and knead for 10 minutes. Let rest under cover for 10 minutes the knead again for another 2 minutes.
Cover in a sealed container (large, the dough grows a lot) and leave somewhere cool for 24 hours.
Portion in 200g balls and roll, flouring your surface to prevent sticking at at least an hour before you plan to make pizzas.
Get your pizza oven up to temperature or use the frying pan method (fry in a frying pan until the base is cooked then place under a very hot grill until cooked.
Stretch and top your pizza.
When cooked, drizzle the honey over the top.
